This Privacy Policy describes how Asher Technologies Inc., doing business as DSP GO ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects personal information when you visit dspgo.io (the "Site") and when you use the DSP GO mobile application (the "App"). We are a Canadian company and handle personal information in accordance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial privacy laws.
The first part of this policy covers the Site; the section titled "The DSP GO Platform" covers the App and the web and careers portals that organizations run on DSP GO. Use of the platform by your organization is governed by the agreement entered into with that organization.
Information We Collect
We collect personal information only when you choose to provide it:
- Contact form: your name, email address, company name, phone number, fleet size, and the message you send us.
- Demo bookings: your name, email address, and scheduling details, collected through our booking provider, Cal.com.
- Technical data: standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) collected automatically for security and site operation.
How We Use Your Information
- To respond to your inquiries and provide requested information.
- To schedule and conduct product demos.
- To operate, secure, and improve the Site.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
Service Providers
We rely on a small number of service providers to operate the Site. These providers process personal information on our behalf and may store it outside of Canada, including in the United States:
- HubSpot: processes contact form submissions and powers our customer relationship management.
- Cal.com: processes demo scheduling; meetings are hosted on Google Meet.
- Hosting providers: serve the Site and store server logs.
Cookies
The Site uses only essential cookies of its own, small text files needed for the Site to function during your visit. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not sell information collected through cookies. Some embedded features are provided by third parties that may set their own cookies:
- Cal.com: the demo booking calendar may set cookies needed to schedule your meeting.
- HubSpot: our contact form provider may set cookies to associate your submission with your inquiry.
Most browsers let you view, block, and delete cookies through their settings. Blocking all cookies may prevent some features, such as the demo booking calendar, from working correctly.
The DSP GO Platform
Beyond the Site, DSP GO provides a platform that delivery organizations use to run their business: a web portal for their office and dispatch staff, a careers portal where applicants apply for jobs and complete hiring paperwork, and the DSP GO mobile app (the "App") for their employees. In each case, the organization you work for or are applying to controls the personal information handled there, and DSP GO processes it on that organization's behalf as a service provider. The web portal and the App also present a privacy notice specific to your organization.
Accounts on the web portal and in the App are created and managed by your organization; neither offers self-service sign-up. The careers portal lets applicants create an account to submit and track a job application with a specific organization.
Information Processed Through the Platform
- Account and work profile: your name, email address, phone number, and employment information (position, schedule, availability), as entered by you or your organization.
- Workplace records: the records you view or create, such as schedules, availability and time-off requests, vehicle inspections, messages with dispatch, and documents, photos, or videos you upload.
- Hiring and onboarding information: if you apply through an organization's careers portal, your application details (contact information, driver's licence details, and work eligibility) and, if you are hired, the information onboarding requires, such as emergency contacts, government identifiers (for example, a Social Insurance Number), and banking details for payroll. This information is collected for the hiring organization and handled on its instructions.
- Location (feature-dependent): where your workplace enables geofenced features (for example, confirming you are on site when starting a shift), the App uses your location only while you are using it for those features. Location is never used for advertising and is not tracked outside of work-related features.
- Device data: a push notification token and basic device information (device model, operating system, app version) used to deliver notifications and to diagnose crashes.
The platform does not show advertising and does not use your data for advertising. We do not sell personal information processed through the platform. The web and careers portals use only essential cookies, needed to keep you signed in.
App Permissions
- Camera and photo library: used only when you choose to capture or upload a photo or document (for example, a vehicle inspection photo or an onboarding document). The App does not access your camera or photos in the background.
- Microphone: used only when you choose to record a video (for example, a video record of a vehicle inspection), to capture the video's audio.
- Location: requested only where your workplace uses geofenced features, and used only while the App is in use. See "Location (feature-dependent)" above.
- Notifications: used to deliver schedule updates and workplace alerts. You can turn notifications off in your device settings at any time.
You can revoke any of these permissions in your device settings at any time; doing so only limits the features that depend on them.
Platform Service Providers
We use a small number of service providers to operate the platform, which may store data outside of Canada, including in the United States:
- Rackspace: cloud infrastructure that hosts the platform and its databases.
- Amazon Web Services: authentication, secure file storage, and encrypted database backups.
- OneSignal: delivery of push notifications and email notifications.
- Twilio: delivery of SMS notifications to your phone number, where your workplace uses text message notifications.
- DocuSeal: electronic signing of employment documents during hiring and onboarding.
- Google Firebase Crashlytics: crash reporting for the App, so we can find and fix defects. Crash reports include device information but not your workplace records.
- Expo: delivery of App updates. When the App checks for an update, Expo receives basic technical information (such as the app version and device platform), but not your identity or workplace records.
We also process operational logs and diagnostic data in monitoring and support tools (for example, logging and metrics dashboards) to keep the platform reliable and to troubleshoot issues; this telemetry is limited to the technical data needed for those purposes and is protected in the same way as the rest of the platform.
Platform Data Retention and Deletion
Workplace and hiring data is retained under your organization's direction and its legal obligations (for example, employment and payroll record-keeping requirements). To access, correct, or delete your information, or to close your account, contact the organization you work for or applied to, or reach us at support@dspgo.io and we will coordinate with them.
Retention
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described above, or as required by law. Inquiry records are retained while we have an ongoing relationship with you or your organization, and are deleted on request.
Your Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information we hold about you. You may also withdraw consent to marketing communications at any time. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@dspgo.io. We will respond within the timelines required by applicable law.
Children
The Site and the platform are intended for business use and are not directed at individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
